Instrument Travel and Insurance

Students traveling from overseas should seek advice about traveling with instruments. As many of you are aware, musicians have experienced damages to instruments and bows during “inspection”; violinists and violists may be asked to check their instruments upon arrival. Fortunately our PyeongChang Music Festival & School students from abroad haven’t complained of these issues in the past. However, you should take adequate protective measures, arrive early to the airport, and confirm individual airline regulations.

Health Insurance

International students are required to have their own health coverage and must provide proof from the insurance company. Please be sure you understand exactly what your insurance covers when travelling overseas. Please review your policy carefully so that you understand what situations it will cover. There will be an additional fee for those students without coverage.
